How do endurance exercise and the ageing process affect the positioning and number of myonuclei within muscle fibres? Edmund Battey (Physiology at KCL) et al. investigate in this article! 📜buff.ly/3UuaytN
After countless requests, we're thrilled to introduce PK Mito Orange FX - a fixable variant of PKMO. PKMO FX allows immunolabeling and CLEM approaches. Happy to have contributed to this project led by Zhixing Chen and Christian Jüngst. #mitochondria pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pn…
In this work, driven by amazing postdoc in our team Andrea Irazoki, we found that adaptations to cancer in mice critically depend on housing temperature. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

In our latest study led by Tang Cam Phung Pham, we found that the mitochondrial (mt) protein SLIRP is a PGC-1α target that regulates mt structure, respiration, and mt-mRNA in muscle. And exercise restored these functions, even with SLIRP disruption and low mt-mRNA! nature.com/articles/s4146…
New pre-print from the lab NNF Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) spearheaded by PhD student Conchita & in collaboration with the Zeqiraj group University of Leeds ; providing structure-based molecular insights & cellular actions of the potent #AMPK inhibitor, BAY-3827 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
