On my way home after visits to 3 Welsh prisons in 2 days, demoing our new services & preparing them for rollout. HMP Usk & Prescoed are unlike any prison I’ve been to yet, with the latter set in the middle of a pine forest. HMP Cardiff in the city centre was quite a contrast.

The latest addition to my sign collection, this came from a now closed Manchester nightclub that I’m keen to try and identify. I believe it’s from the 1980s or early 90s. It’s custom-made metal and perspex and used to illuminate. The plan is to clean it and get it working again.

This is the most interesting and impactful thing I've worked on in my career so far. We're improving existing services and working with staff and prisoners to develop all new ones to improve daily life inside. Our teams need your help so come and join us!

We are currently looking for a contract senior user researcher to join a new team working on a critical service for prison staff. The role is based in Sheffield, with trips to prisons and HQ buildings a certainty. SC clearance a nice to have. Starting ASAP. No recruiters, sorry.

I was reminded today of the brilliant logo for the Japanese delivery company Yamato Transport. The black cat (kuroneko) carrying her kitten symbolises the care they will take with the items entrusted with them to deliver.

Looking at replies on here is so broken at the moment. An example is below and these were the first ones below the original tweet. Locked account replies should either not be shown at all apart from to followers or always appear last.

One of our ladies has drawn this architects design of the home she aspires to build on release. Incredible detail, all to scale, 4 sheets worth. Hopes, dreams and ambitions, just like everyone else, and seeing a future beyond her current situation. So positive 👍😁

GDPR has absolutely ruined the internet. I'm so, so tired of permission pop-ups. Every site has a different implementation and all are terrible in their own ways. Why can't it be done better? On the browser level or something? There must be another way. Is it pop-ups forever? 😫

Sad to hear of the passing of Mike Kruzeniski (Mike Kruzeniski). I have some great memories of working with him in his Nokia days. These pics are from 2007 when he was visiting the new UK design office. F**k cancer!

Heading home after a couple of days in the southwest demoing our services to teams from 4 prisons. During the pandemic I’ve really missed being face to face with staff to hear feedback about what’s live and what we plan to build. “It’s good to know that our ideas are listened to”
