I have come into possession of an email sent by Patrick Hunter of the Catholic Medical Assn to the Florida BoM, where he says Dr. Cass and her team met to share info with the Florida BoM. Patrick Hunter was handpicked by DeSantis to ban care, and met with Cass to do so.

Conversion practices still happen in Scotland today. They’re done on the false belief that LGBTQA+ people are broken and we need to be “fixed”. We’re not, and these harmful practices have to end. Find out more: equality-network.org/cp

We are disappointed to see no firm commitment to a timeline for legislating on Conversion Practices in Scotland in today’s Programme for Government.

The proposals for a ban on conversion practices are ready & have been consulted on, the legislation can be brought to parliament this year. Instead the Scottish Government has chosen to kick it into the long grass. This should be seen as what it is, a betrayal of LGBTQ+ people

So don’t dare appear on camera calling it “an abhorrent practice” then as you’re clearly not ‘abhorred’ enough! Once again, LGBT lives being used a political football. Sending so much love and solidarity to fellow survivors of this torturous abuse. #BanConversionTherapy

We must be clear what this is. It's backsliding from a commitment made last year to deliver a Scottish bill based on the recommendions of the Scottish expert advisory group - made last year. That commitment was to deliver that bill, not pass off responsibility to Westminster.
