πŸ€–πŸ”¬ We often hear concerns about the impact of AI on human work, but I think that with the right applications it can open new opportunities via massive human-AI collaborations. Here is a novel example from the beautiful world of mathπŸ‘‡ (1/7)

It's fascinating how much stuff around us is just there to package ugly stuff into beautiful designs. The moulding and trim in your house is there just to cover up nasty seams. This scanner from Analogic Security I passed at OAK is second to none. Look how cool this thing is!

Had the most magical experience the other night. I was exhausted & hungry after a 14+ hr day of mtgs. Walked out of my apartment in PJs & a baseball cap to go grab food next door. Put my headphones in. The most anti-social possible. πŸ˜… Got in the elevator. We have many

I'd love to find much more granular data for greenhouse gas emissions by components of each industry. Anyone know of a much more detailed view into this kind of plot? E.g. which sector does fertilizer production live in? Does it have subcomponents? ourworldindata.org/emissions-by-s…

LETSGOO πŸ”₯! Solid work by Jason Carman for weaving together clips of republicans and democrats to deliver a unifying rallying cry for America - ITS TIME TO BUILD πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Another absolute banger from my old atom interferometry group, ruling out screened fifth forces Measuring gravitational attraction with a lattice atom interferometer nature.com/articles/s4158…

Welcome to Pat Tang, our new Chief Engineering Officer! I appreciate Pat's technical breadth - he dived deep on Rydberg physics with a few of us yesterday. He runs a charity building typhoon shelters in the Philippines, a reminder that "our problems are other people's dreams" πŸ‘Œ

Yesterday my neighbor told me he put in his two week notice for "transition". You take either 3 months of full pay or 6 months of half pay. But you're not working. It's like a planned severance, his company preferring that you don't search for another job while you're working. 🀯

Ohio branding itself as the "birthplace of aviation" is so hopeless to me. Like, we haven't stopped the brain drain for nearly 2 centuries, so I guess we'll just lean into it

Wow. Just witnessed a traffic light out on market st in SF during rush hour. Two traffic guards were directing 3 way traffic. Only one car allowed to go at a time (in 3 lane street), waved through by the traffic guard in yellow vest standing in the middle of the busy street.

SO πŸ™AMPEDπŸ™to finally share our quantum computing architecture Infleqtion with the world, here in preprint form. It's been a long time coming. This is a slick and capable machine that's been on a path recently to set and break its own fidelity records. arxiv.org/abs/2408.08288

Just a friendly reminder that there was never any competition: NSYNC was always miles better than 98 degrees. You may hate me, but it ain't no lie

So stoked to see Infleqtion's CEO announce a materials simulation with logical qubits, in a nice collab with NVIDIA. 🀘 This is a huge year at #Q2B24! Paper here πŸ‘‰ arxiv.org/abs/2412.07670
