I was asked to review Gargi Bhattacharyya's The Futures of Racial Capitalism for Economy & Society. Thought it had strengths + weaknesses. Thought the most important aspect of the book were Bhattacharryya's important points about solidarity. Check it here: tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

But also true that in vast literature on racial capitalism, solidarity dynamics oddly minimized. Wiki entry on the concept doesn't mention the word once, for example, as of 17/02/2025. I hope my Economy & Society review - based on vital points of Bhattacharyya - helps shift that.
