Maybe if I had a PhD or I worked for someone who paid me an exorbitant amount of money to say this makes sense...this would make sense to me. But...

Discussions or debates are so much more constructive when shared facts (rather than silly narratives) are available...thus, I present the West.

green is California peak employed persons and minimum unemployed persons for each economic cycle and red the cycle reversal (max UE, min Employed). Where in the cycle are we? BTW - this CA Emp/UE cycle is already worse or on par with the recession seen in '01 to '03 (but guessing

any thoughts on the lack of growth of employed working age males since 2007? Any thoughts on why an ever lower % of male 25 to 54yr/olds are employed amid each economic cycle?

Female 25 to 54yr/old employees and employed % of the population hit a ceiling in '00...and just keep bumping into the ceiling amid each economic peak. Doesn't exactly look like this time will be different.

what if there were clear, repeatable, finite limits to growth- that no matter how much interest rates were cut or infinite debt spending undertaken - can't be overcome?!?

Many will say that population data is not inclusive of "undocumented immigrants" but meanwhile seem unwilling to acknowledge that the jobs #'s are wholly inclusive of all documented employees. If the reality of higher illegal immigration is much lower employee/population

15 to 24 year-old employees declining for over 4 decades, 25 to 54 year-old male employees essentially unchanged since 2007...all growth has been thanks to soaring 55 to 64 year-old employees...except not anymore as they're population has demographically peaked and now in secular
