West African villagers are benefiting today from an ECHO training held over a year ago. Joel and Mathieu have spearheaded the work of saving high-quality seeds, even helping save seeds from a local pepper approaching extinction.

After attending an ECHO training in Burkina Faso last month, Pastor Mathieu began spreading his newfound knowledge of biochar far and wide. He even built his own kiln to share, demonstrate, and create more biochar for himself and for his community!

We love providing specialized and unique support to our global partners. ECHO empowers and equips our partners with creative and contextualized responses to hunger, nutrition and livelihoods. Our work is on the preventative end of human trafficking, forced migration, and more.

ECHO recently organized three training sessions for 150 Internationally Displaced Peoples in the central region of Burkina Faso that taught them to make biofertilizers and biopesticides, how to set up a nursery and transplant to an above-ground garden system, and more!

In 2024 we established our South Asia Regional Impact Team based in Chiang Mai, Thailand. This Team exists to serve the needs and partners across the South Asian sub-continent. Over 2 billion people live in this region, of which 65% live in rural and farming communities.

We are proud to partner with organizations like Misión Peniel and Cultivate Abundance as they serve our neighbors in Immokalee, FL. We were honored to grow and share 7,812 lbs. of produce through these organizations with food-insecure farm workers in 2024.

Grounded by faith, ECHO leads a global movement to tackle hunger through restorative farming practices. By mobilizing thousands of partners, we renew creation and build food-secure communities that reflect God’s abundance.

One of ECHO’s Global Goals to defeat hunger and improve lives is to increase the network’s capacity to be effective. Working regionally, ECHO and our partners discover and promote solutions. Last year, 1.4 MILLION resources were accessed online through ECHOcommunity.org.
