A fun article about FRBs! It's rare to see the peryton/microwave ovens mentioned somewhere without my name attached to it, but I supposed that's the way of the world once you move out of academia. Ngl, still stings a bit.

This was such a great event! Physics is not separate from society, and it was great to see so many faculty, staff, students, and postdocs, take an hour out of their day solving the biggest questions in physics, to discuss wider societal issues and their impact on physics culture.
