Earlier today EF&R crews in Woodinville were able to quickly stop an escalating residential structure fire on the 16000 blk of NE 170th PL. The fire was extinguished twenty minutes after crews arrived, saving the home.

EF&R units have responded with Hazmat 173 to a semi truck vs jersey barrier on WB 90 at SR 18. There is a diesel spill that has closed multiple lanes in the area.

EF&R is responding to a collision on WB 99 near MP 29 involving two semi- trucks. Currently three lanes blocked while we attend to the scene. One patient with non life threatening injuries is being transported to a nearby hospital.

We are saddened by the passing of former EF&R Board member and supporter State Senator Bill Ramos. The eastside advocate and community leader will be missed.

At 2:16PM EF&R responded to a small fire at the volunteer building at the Issaquah Fish Hatchery. Burning materials were pulled from inside the building and quickly extinguished. A King County Fire Investigator has been called to the scene.

EF&R is saddened by the loss of long time HAM radio operator and volunteer Jim Walker. Jim helped execute communication drills all over the greater Woodinville area and was dedicated to his work. He will be missed.

EF&R crews have extinguished a fire on EB90 East of Exit 20.

The City of Issaquah declared the week of May 18-24 Emergency Medical Services Week. The first EMS week was declared in 1974 by President Gerald Ford. EMS accounts for over 60% of the calls Eastside Fire & Rescue responds to annually across the service area.
