EMO 6th graders kicked off the school year with a hands-on STEM challenge. Students designed, built, and raced their very own balloon-powered cars.  This engaging project encouraged creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving while applying science concepts in practice.

INSIDE THE CLASSROOM: At EMO Elementary, Madison DeGroot’s students are building real-life financial skills in a fun and engaging way. Through the classroom reward system, students earn coins for demonstrating responsibility, then use them to purchase rewards of their choice.

What a treat for our readers! Ms. Mangino organized a special celebration for students who completed their Summer Reading Bingo Boards, featuring a live visit from real-life author Kelly Bennett!

📚 Scavenger hunt in the stacks! EMO fourth graders in Julia Howland’s class had a blast during a library scavenger hunt this morning. Students explored the nonfiction, fiction, and picture book sections, searching for titles that matched clues on their worksheets.

🌍✨ Seventh graders in Mr. Messina’s class at East Moriches Middle School took part in a gallery walk to explore Africa’s geography and climate before reading A Long Walk to Water. #EastMorichesPride
