1 in 7 practising doctors who trained in Britain are now working elsewhere, a 50% increase since 2008 – almost triple the rate in similar countries. Clearly, one factor is a huge real terms drop in pay (<24%) but workplace culture, burnout and stress are also culprits.

UPDATE: Yesterday management at Kettering reversed their controversial decision to cut rates for doctors in response to 100 doctors cancelling their shifts. This was only possible due to the unity of grassroots doctors. 1/2
