“One of the lessons learnt from this crisis is that we must change our ways. Scientists warn that to avoid future crises, we must drastically change our diets and move to plant-rich foods. For the sake of the animals, planet and the health of our children” gu.com/p/exy9f/stw

On the 25th of July an oil tanker carrying 4,000 tonnes of oil leaked into the Indian Ocean. How terrifying that we live in a world where you can get away with such large-scale destruction (ECOCIDE) ! Support Stop Ecocide International if you agree, and please RT.

Remember wildflower meadows? 97% are gone in the UK - devastating for wildlife, including pollinating insects like bees & butterflies. By planting wildflowers - and letting them grow naturally by not spraying or over-mowing - we can boost biodiversity & get some beauty back 🐝

This is very important. Please retweet Lizzie's tweet and sign the petition if you want to call on the government to stop the import of shark fins to the UK.

RT if you'd like to see more wildflowers like this! Ox-eye daisies are bee superplants. But with 97% of our wildflower meadows gone, they're now too rare a sight. Let's ease off the over-mowing, weedkiller, tarmac & plastic grass, & give them a chance 🐝

Only 3% of UK wildflower meadows are left - bad news for bumblebees. RT if you think we should give bees, butterflies & other pollinating insects a fighting chance by growing wildflowers in our gardens, communities, towns & countryside, and by avoiding pesticides & weedkillers 🐝

Don't fell these trees National Trust. Dead wood is the missing component of British woodlands. Let the rich deadwood fauna and flora thrive and celebrate the diversity of life, even in death. theguardian.com/environment/20…

Next year, please let the dandelions grow! They support over 50 insects species. They're a great early season food source for pollinators including bees, butterflies and hoverflies. No need to mow. And please don't use weedkiller. RT if you're on board 🐝

Let's look after the trees. A single 400-year-old ancient oak produces 234,000 litres of oxygen a year, and may support more than 2,000 species of bird, insect, fungus, and lichen. Via @WoodlandTrust #wellbeing #nature #wildlife
