I really don't know what to do about people who are just this fundamentally broken epistemologically. If you can hear someone say we spent a billion dollars on a single survey and not immediately assume they're lying, you are quite literally not in touch with reality.

I agree completely. I’ve been radicalized by Musk. Ideological disputes seem so trivial in the face of a man who is a kind of super villain in how much he has declared open war on the concept of truth. Few things could make me respect a human being less than this.

It's fascinating to me that 95% tax rates were completely socially acceptable in the 1960s, but a very anti-tax song like Taxman was also socially acceptable. Today *both* seem unimaginable. Why is that?

There's something darkly funny in looking at these trends and remembering the RW mockery of the shifting "current thing" and NPCs who can't think for themselves

18F was a US government group helping government departments improve their use of technology which got recently wood-chipped. Here's a good overview of their work plus lessons learned: which apply to any large organization. lawfaremedia.org/article/learni…

I was at a private dinner in 2021. Leon was at my table. Everyone at the table you've heard of. For over two hours he tried to be the most hilarious person you've ever met. It was excruciating. I've never seen a more deeply insecure person. I believe every word of this.

It's crazy that people lost their mind of Nancy Pelosi's husband buying $NVDA call options -- which literally everyone in the world was doing over the last few years -- and here is Fox Biz reporting that Wall Street execs are getting early alerts on trade negotiations.

Wow, new dark pattern from X/Twitter. I’ve been paying for Twitter Premium since they started offering it. It’s been $16 for the past year+. Today I received an email receipt telling me I’d been charged $40 for X Premium Plus. I had signed up for Premium, but not Premium Plus.

Secretary Marco Rubio This is democracy. This decision is the result of a thorough & independent investigation to protect our Constitution & the rule of law. It is independent courts that will have the final say. We have learnt from our history that rightwing extremism needs to be stopped.

Members of Putin's AFD party remain seated while the European National Anthem is played commemorating the end of WW2 today. Germany's AFD is the closest thing to a Nazi Party that Europe has had since 1945, and Russia is using it to rip apart European institutions.
