Fellow lab-mate Morgan McCarthy & team published a super comprehensive study, proposing the revision of transient and resident #killerwhale ecotypes into separate species, both from each other and from the (for now) current species!
Awesome to see the east coast of the UK designated as an Important Marine Mammal Area ( #IMMA ) 🐋🦭🐳 What's extra special is much of this area was highlighted as important through citizen science or social media sightings groups! Power to the people! 💪🏽
