If people want to meaningfully reduce bird collisions, then lobby Senator Raj Mukherji to introduce legislation that requires bird glass for construction in all NJ counties with a population density less than 10,000 people per square mile and high rises by forested areas.

This morning, the MTA swapped the F/M trains at 8 stations in Manhattan and Queens. This is an example of "deinterlining," a technique which improves the frequency & reliability of subway service. Read ETA on why deinterlining is so valuable, and where else it can be used:

Imagine what we could do for air quality in Hudson County, Mikie Sherrill, if we implemented our own version of congestion pricing on the Turnpike extension to control traffic over wasting $11 billion on a futile expansion and widening scheme?

This distills the arguments our leadership has been making against Jersey City’s version of the bird-glass ordinance and puts forward our thoughts on a more effective approach should Senator Raj Mukherji, Katie Brennan, or Ravinder S. Bhalla wish to examine it at the state level.

They’re leaving more money on the table than just missed parking revenues as many properties NJ TRANSIT owns could be developed into dense, transit-oriented housing.

Yes, this project will change the character of the community—it will make it better, making room for 790 more families in one of the most desirable areas on Earth, without displacing even a single family.

I disagree with this because FriendsofLibertyPark has been committed to creating a Central Park-style space. The problem is Trenton never has the money to fund it and is always looking for gimmicks to get cash. McKnight could prioritize funding for the park.
