I have such a hard time thinking of, say, "the 1960's" (or 70's or 80's) as being the same duration of time as a decade that I've experienced (ex. 2010-2020). I know that it's merely wrong but on some unconscious level I imagine people spending whole lifetimes in "the 50's"
