Continuing its support of E2D, Inc. (Eliminate the Digital Divide)'s mission to bridge the digital divide for students in need, Duke Energy recently pledged to donate more than 16,000 laptops over three years. The devices will be distributed to 10 HBCUs across North Carolina. spr.ly/6010o85Tg.

This week, the E2D team traveled to the Tribal Lands of the Eastern Band of Cherokees. It was wonderful to honor Dr. King’s legacy by volunteering alongside fellow NCDIT team members today at Kramden Institute to refurbish computers for people in western NC. Both Kramden and E2D, Inc. (Eliminate the Digital Divide) are doing an amazing job meeting NC's digital needs and supporting Helene recovery efforts.

Today, we joined partner and grantee E2D, Inc. (Eliminate the Digital Divide) at Fayetteville State University to distribute free laptops to first-generation college students. This week alone, E2D is delivering 800 laptops to students across the state so they can complete courses, apply for internships and connect with professors.
