So far the problem I’ve seen with AI is that it’s often not an enhancer. Instead it’s just a force multiplier. Those unwilling to improve before, still won’t. If your craft sucked before, it still sucks. You’re just faster, louder, & somehow more confident. Fundamentals matter.

Jacob Bartlett It's worth considering the alternative below. An enum with no associated values and lots of computed properties of repeated switches is ripe for being turned into a struct with static properties. If no one else needs to switch on your enum, it may not need to be an enum.

Almost as if some people’s income is based on shilling out content to the lowest common denominator rather than focusing on the “engineering” part of “software engineering”. 💅

So excited to share one of my white-whale projects: a fully physics-based, holographic foil shader. Each pixel simulates a ray of light diffracting into a rainbow of waves, which add and subtract to create these incredible patterns. Not a single gradient was used here!

THE best way to refactor Swift code with Xcode is - Rename/Delete function - Hit Build and watch errors - Iterate over places where compilation failed - Repeat until no error nothing else comes even close

Tanmay > SwiftUI really doesn’t want you using MVVM. This doesn't seem accurate, and it's an incorrect deduction to make. TabView’s behavior in not persisting state for its children doesn’t have anything to do with choosing one architecture vs the other. As for your solution, I would

Surely we’ll definitely keep the same humanitarian all life is precious energy going the next time we talk about immigrants, Palestinians, and **checks notes** literally school children, right? Right?

“let’s get on a quick call” why. why must we get on a call to discuss something that can be resolved on text with 4 extra brain cells and 2 more sentences of effort. absolutely torturous habit of people requesting calls for everything. 😤🚩

I’m more and more convinced that the more bullish an engineer is on AI, the more likely they are to be either absolutely brilliant or complete dogshit.
