This chap looks very proud of his car. We think this was taken in the mid 1930s. Does anyone know what type of car this is? This was taken on Rosewood Terrace off West Park Road #TransportTuesday #Dundee #Archives

The back of buildings are often very hard for us to pin down - mainly because they often look very similar. Can anyone figure out where this one was taken. Its quite likely that this building no longer exists. #Dundee #Archives #WhereisitWednesday

The 1925 Medical Officer for Health Report contains a list of the midwives available for hire during the following year. As most women gave birth in their own home, their services were essential to the local community. #ThrowbackThursday #Dundee #Archives

Did you know that Dundee once tried to take over Tayport. It was part of a scheme known as Greater Dundee, where the Corporation wanted to have power of both sides of the Tay. As you may have guessed it failed. Read the full story here: dundeecityarchives.wordpress.com/2019/11/21/the…

This photograph was taken on the B953 between Abernyte and Balbeggie. It was taken during a military exercise on 5th-6th April 1913. This is presumably some senior officers watching the action. The car has the London registration LE 8817. Ref: GD/X255 #TransportTuesday

This photograph is currently listed as an "unknown location". Can anyone help us identify where this may have been? I suspect that these buildings may no longer exist. This was probably taken in the early 1960s. #WhereisitWednesday #Dundee #Archives
