Pop into Pearse Street Library and drop in your memory of O'Connell Street! Which picture house did you prefer? Where did you eat – at Caffola's or the The Wimpy? Do you remember shopping at stores like Madame Nora's? Email: [email protected]

Dear English and Irish readers: does anybody even know that this book is out? There have been five weeks of deafening silence since it was published on the 20th of June.

It was such an honour to publish this piece by Edna O’Brien in our special London-themed issue in 2015. She was working on the proofs of her novel, The Little Red Chairs, but promised she’d get something to me in a few weeks, on June 17th – and she did. stingingfly.org/2015/06/01/a-w…

Congratulations to Irish author Colin Barrett, who made the 2024 Booker Prize longlist today for his novel, Wild Houses. It's one of 13 books on this year's longlist, and the judges called it a 'superlatively written account of frustration and misadventure in a small Irish town'.

Colin mentions Solar Bones, a booker nomination which everyone should read and which won The Goldsmith Prize in 2016 and our own Dublin Literary Award in 2018. Plague of souls is Mike McCormack's recent novel. Best of luck to Colin Barrett thebookerprizes.com/the-booker-lib…

A year ago this week, I published my book Traces. I wasn't sure how it would be received, but the response has been so positive! Thanks to everyone who bought a copy, to the bookshops & libraries who stock it, and to all who have supported my writing. I am very grateful💙
