yea covid cases are going up even if you don’t want to think about it. if you’re feeling ill then take multiple rapid tests (if you have the means). wear a mask, high quality if accessible.

i’m tired of seeing people get sick and spread disease, knowingly or not. we are still in a pandemic. the virus has not gotten any milder. people are still being killed. people are being disabled. people have been excommunicated from society and left for dead.

covid and other opportunistic diseases spreading in the global south and here, maiming and killing victims of colonialism and imperialism. we find out something new about this disease every day and we still don’t know how awful it is. people have not recovered.

all the “essential places” don’t wear masks. some are punished for wearing a mask at work. disabled people aren’t allowed in “fun places.” everyone is participating in a eugenics project, knowingly or unknowingly, willingly or unwillingly.

even the “i’m vaccinated” statement, something that hasn’t hold any credence since june 2021, is even more null, because since the pandemic is over why the need of vaccines? everyone is fine being sick and sick is good for the body you are strange if you don’t want to be sick

and it’s even worse when you can see people are not well, when they can’t read or process information, their driving is more erratic, they can’t remember what they did last weekend or the last digits of their phone number, and now they have an intolerance to alcohol

and that one friend of yours had a stroke when they just turned 30 and another friend has to catch their breath when they stand up to fast. new dental problems, more chest pains, headaches. cancers younger and younger.

but it’s been 5 years since the pandemic and it’s done and i’ll threaten to cough on you if you bring it up. you kinda just become a reminder of a “really awful year” and a freak for caring about yourself and others even if they don’t care about themselves or know how to care
