It was great to spend time with some of our external applicants this morning chatting about life post GCSEs and answering questions about the Sixth Form.

Year 8 students are really enjoying the Design & Technology Association inspired by industry contents. Especially the accessible controllers theme from Scalextric . Today was hands on product analysis looking at controllers across the decades.

Great contexts our students loving the Scalextric assessable controller project. Having real designers and real world examples makes a big difference. Just started CAD and being able to say we’re using the same software as Scalextric blew them away. Creo, a PTC Technology PTC Education

Today 24 students from 6 schools give ups their Saturday morning to take part in Scalextric4Schools materclasses The Bishops' Blue Coat C of E High School . Week 2 of Chester Schools Together Masterclasses The Bishops' Blue Coat C of E High School. This week all students completed their car designs on Creo, a PTC Technology and started printing on the Flashforge®. Before setting some impressive laps on the Scalextric track. @Scalextric4schools is a great Stem project.

Week 3 of the Chester Schools Together Scalextric4Schools Masterclasses & the final cars were printed on our new Flashforge® Adventure 5M printer. Final week @bishopshigh and some great comments from the students about Creo, a PTC Technology they all have loved the Scalextric4Schools project. PTC Education and @scalextric some future designers and enthusiasts I'm sure.
