Sports can be cruel. Sawyer Kate had an incredible 1st softball season in Hoover. Her team went 11-1 and finished runner-up. Lost the title after giving up 7 runs in the last inning. She’s heartbroken, but that just means it mattered. So proud of her fight and heart. #ProudDad

Heartbreaking end to a wonderful baseball season in Hoover. Although this outcome hurts, it was a blessing to be a witness to this season with tremendous student athletes and coaches. Go be great seniors.

Thank you for all the memories so far. Now, I believe “ITS NOT MY TIME” is really my song. This’ll be a battle so we need our prayers warriors! Thank y’all for being the best fans in the world. We love y’all!   Brad

The little things. Yesterday was our seniors’ last day. I signed yearbooks, saw a star player make our UAB-loving custodian’s day with a photo, and watched kids enjoy high school one last time. If you worry about the future, spend a day in a school. We’ll be just fine. #Educate

Obligatory reminder: never be too busy to answer your mother’s call. One day, that call won’t come. Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms out there, you are truly special. Especially grateful for the one who keeps our world afloat, Ashley Deason.
