I am in a run of really bad cold email. AI has not improved things, and engineers who may be technically brilliant, but are not people savvy does not help. I was going to do a thread about good cold email, but I got upset thinking about all the bad ones.

This may be a niche tweet, but was at an event where I ran into a number of super arrogant folks. Sort of like they were thinking they were in a reality TV show. The staff was going mad, and the people were oblivious. The folks were in their 40’s. Don’t be like that.

Recently decided to keep going long on one of my oldest investments. I am impressed with the grit of the team, and the cash generation is really good. Felt it was better to stay than to cash out.

My virtue signaling. Today, walked to Caltrain and rode on express to Mountain View. Total time each way was 40 minutes (and got steps in) vs likely 1 hour by car. Plus, had the nicest folks on the train this AM.

Old infrastructure guy here. To some extent, this is what happened with the internet. The vision was right, but was so far ahead of the infrastructure it took 15 years to realize many of the promises. What I can say now is there are echoes of that. But infrastructure
