God isn’t asking you to live a "victorious Christian life". He’s inviting you to know and trust the victorious Christ.

Because of Jesus’s resurrection, you are always in Him. You are always in the Spirit. You are always united to Jesus, 24/7, 365.

“So if the Son sets you free, you really will be free.” - John 8:36

We are saints. We are righteous. How? 2 Cor 5:21 says that Jesus became our sin so that we could become the righteousness of God. Rom 5:19 says that through Jesus’s obedience, we are made righteous.

Forgiven (Col 2:13). Safe (John 10:28). Nothing can separate you from God’s love (Rom 8:38). His grace abounds (Rom 5:20).

NT Wright adds: “that is why, as a historian, I cannot explain the rise of early Christianity unless Jesus rose again, leaving an empty tomb behind him.”

The law was a shadow, the true substance and reality of Christ. So to say that we’re under a part of the law is to do something that the New Testament writers never did. This is why Titus 2:11 and 12 says it’s God’s grace that teaches us to live Godly and to say no to sin.

Our identity does not come from what we do. We are righteous and holy saints who still sin. It’s mind blowing because we define people by what they do but Jesus doesn’t do that. We’re defined by Jesus and what He has done for us. And He calls us saints and holy and righteous!

We no longer have to search for acceptance and love from what we do or from what others think about us. God has announced to us that we are accepted and loved apart from what we do or don’t do.

Stop trying to get closer to God. Do you know the goal of the Christian life is not about slowly achieving closeness to God? The goal of the Christian life is to know that you are already close to God!

Our forgiveness is not rooted in how little or small our sins are. Our forgiveness is based on the shed blood of Jesus.

You don’t need to decrease. God wants to use all of you. He’s in union with you. He’s equipped you. Check out this video👇🏻
