It’s March and we have significant premature greenup. Forecast is 24 degrees this weekend. We get 2-3 strikes before serious injury (depending on how many successive mid-20 nights we have). This is strike one.

Fall armyworm moths are present throughout the state of North Carolina. Doesn't mean it will be a serious problem this year, but it should get our attention to be on the lookout in the coming weeks.

Fall armyworms in most places more normal this year. No reports of 2021 disasters. There is still a lot of fall armyworm season left so keep your eyes open.
