Another (biologically unrelated) small troublemaker, this time in the gallbladder, only 1mm diam in contrast to true paragangliomas which are 1-2cm in size. Dont mistake it for a NET! Just an autonomic paraganglion in an odd place?

I’m probably a masochistic but I love a challenging case that uses all my concentration, knowledge and a bucket full of clinical and radiological detective work…

NHS digital pathology deployments often end up looking like this. Are security and usability incompatible bed partners? Surely the main advantage of digital pathology compared with glass slides is being able to view / share with other experts anywhere?

Paget’s disease of perianal squamous mucosa associated with a non-invasive prolapsing anorectal adenoma with high grade dysplasia. Like the Elizabeth Montgomery, MD series our case didnt show submucosal invasion, and the Paget cells had a “colorectal” (CK7- CK20+ CDX2+) Immunophenotype.

Simpsons-style portrait of me and Lego Movie style photo of my boys courtesy of ChatGPT. Seems to be getting more and more scary with every update. How did it even know I like surfing and birds?😬 #AI

When you are sent a low "parathyroid gland" don’t make the mistake of thinking, "oh they have taken some little lymph nodes by mistake", then thinking "oh look there's some little squamous cells in there it must be SCC" Unfortunately I have seen this mistake made more than once!

The NHS need to create a national, cloud based digital pathology system to allow outsourcing and expert second opinions, preventing local silos that would otherwise require already digitised glass slides being sent away. Read more at the following link... pathkids.com/wp/2025/05/09/…

Learning to understand endoscopy reports and photos is just as important in my opinion for a #GIpath #Pathologists as understanding Histology reports is for an endoscopist.
