The trouble with Restorative Practices in schools is that there is too much focus on using them to respond to incidents and not enough on building community to prevent incidents. You can't restore what you didn't build.

The Republican game plan is always to cut funding to services that help people and redirect it to services that kill/imprison people. Then when the services that help people underperform they argue it's because they are controlled by the state so that they can justify privatizing
