A purely non-political post: There is no evidence that adding a picture of a politician to a radiograph report improves the health outcomes of the patient.

I don’t know what to say anymore. As doctors, we can’t stop a genocide and we can’t end a famine. We provided a diagnosis - genocide. We provided a prescription to end the genocide - for Canada to end its complicity and direct involvement in Israel’s crimes now.

I will be joining the March to Gaza with the Canadian delegation. This is a peaceful global march led by citizens of the world to support the people of Gaza and demand an end to this inhumane blockade, and ensure an opening of a permanent humanitarian corridor.

I recorded this video over an hour ago. We are still waiting at the checkpoint for our passports. Gaza must have food and water, Israel end the slaughter. This is why we are here. We have not broken any local Egyptian laws. #GlobalMarchToGaza

I'm a Pakistani with 50+ peer-reviewed publications in medicine and dentistry, privileged to work with many brilliant Pakistani scientists—yet politics, discrimination, and bureaucracy remain major barriers to research. Please stop stereotyping Pakistanis.

A healthcare researcher here. I can confirm with significant certainty that changing the name of an institute has no impact on the quality and access of healthcare it provides.

Hi Dr. Dan Mir Agreed. However, as you are most likely aware, there are many other names that exist in the world that don't end with the surname 'Sharif'. I could be wrong, as you seem more qualified and experienced in healthcare policy-making than me. Best regards!

Surely you can’t be this obtuse. She started wearing a hijab after surviving non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and months of chemo. You could’ve found that in 10 seconds with Google, but I guess curiosity dies where bigotry begins. Islamophobes don’t want answers, they want outrage.

Fareed Zakaria just said “put aside the Gaza issue for a moment.” That’s the moral equivalent of saying in 1942, “look … I have my disagreements with Hitler but put aside the ‘Jewish issue’” and focus on how awesome the Nazi conquest of Europe is.

As a researcher with experience in materials science, I can very confidently say that adding the name 'Sharif' to a flyover does not add to its longevity and quality of the materials in its construction. Again, I could be wrong - but this is just my opinion...

This is why we need input from healthcare and health policy researchers in journalism. In this piece for Brookings that I came across recently, an 'expert' (Madiha Afzal), had claimed that Imran Khan has mismanaged the pandemic. Ironically, WHO and others had commended Khan.
