David Pakman Debate over inclusion of transwomen in female sports is not a ‘fabricated issue’ for females who lose their places to athletes with physiological advantage unavailable to those females, and where exclusion of those athletes is the foundational reason for category existence.

I was asked to participate in a video about a cancer drug I’m on. My instinct was: come back in 20 years and if I’m still alive I’ll do it. But my beloved onc is the one who asked me, so of course I said yes. Turns out the gig came w $500 honorarium. Cancer pays!

Science is not a social construct. Science’s truths were true before there were societies; will still be true after all philosophers are dead; were true before any philosophers were born; were true before there were any minds, even trilobite or dinosaur minds, to notice them.

Twitter seems to be gangs of people trying to 'out-extreme' one another. Attempting to be fair and balanced these days, and trying to see 'both sides', simply means you're hated by 'both sides' for not totally agreeing with them. Even asking a question is seen as a threat. Scary.

Kathy Belov It's been profoundly frustrating to see the tone-deaf championing of lockdowns from many in the higher education sector. So many refuse to acknowledge how difficult it has been for culturally and linguistically communities in precarious employment. We're a very privileged group.

Just got back from the US. Doing my proud civic QLD duty and now quarantining at home for 14 days. I’m just making sure Covid doesn’t get out into the community. Everyone has to do their bit.
