This is one hell of an about-face. Israel’s refusal to let GSS into Sweida has led to more sectarian violence and killings. Given that Israel is determined to keep Syria weak and unstable, it’s probably the result of heavy US and Gulf pressure.

All sides of this fight from the Bedouin to the Druze to the Syrian government to the Israeli government have all committed war crimes the past few days. No one is innocent. And it’s not a contest. It’s all bad.
