Congrats Michael Kölling and John Rosenberg on the inaugural ACM SIGCSE "Test of Time" award for their paper on Blue written when Michael was a PhD student :) #ITiCSE2020

A really lovely reminder from John Rosenberg on the importance of PhD supervisors taking their students to conferences and introducing them to the community - my (now-graduated) PhD student is virtually at this one! :) #ITiCSE2020

Tired this morning after a late one last night at virtual #ITiCSE2020 conference but every moment was worth it. I'm so looking forward to virtual #ICER2020. Post-pandemic I hope we can keep some virtual conference presence for those like me who are geographically challenged.

I spent some time talking to a new student about rejection last night. His first paper has just been submitted, not rejected, but its never too early to talk about it - it's part of research.

Online options to attend events are so valuable for people wanting to avoid COVID, who are carers, disabled or chronically ill, can’t afford travel or can’t get a visa, want to avoid contributing to the climate crisis etc. Every academic event organiser should offer this option
