Have been reading about the closure of the Marlborough Galleries in The Art Newspaper so thought I'd put on this painting 'Private View' which was in my 1998 Cork Street exhibition just round the corner from them and lives in the collection of Frank & Judy Grace

Today is the last day of the Cheltenham Gold Cup Festival. 'The Outsider' was painted several years ago when Tim Russon and Central TV were coming to the studio to make a little film to coinde with it.

Remembering my dear Mum whom I lost over eight years ago, with great love and affection. I've shown her and my father pushing me along in a pram with a large valve radio at the end from which the sound fluctuated when rounding corners etc. Radio Pram is in the The Women’s Art Collection

Again on International Women's Day, I'm thinking about all those women across the world who are living in tents; sometimes by choice but often due to earthquake or flood or war such as those in Syria, Turkey and Gaza.

On International Women's Day I'm remembering women across the world and in this painting those of Japan who practice many of Japan's exquisite arts, music, flower arranging, tea ceremonies and the wearing of beautiful kimonos for festivals and dance to mention but a few.

Delightful lunch at the South London Gallery with Heniretta, Sue and Steve. We are there to see the huge Collaged Canvas 'Skid' 2023 by Frank Bowling as part of his 90th birthday celebration. The canvases were too large to assemble in the studio as it is 442 x 336cm

Caught the end of the fantastic 'Frozen Continent' exhibition The Wilson which focuses on Edward Wilson's expedition to the Antarctic. Sunday is its last day. There was a delightful talk for children sat cross-legged, enthralled in a semi-circle at lunchtime. Excellent

Happy Valentine's Day. This painting, called The Kiss was bought by one of my dealers for his wife some years ago. It measures 17 x 21 x 4 inches

I'm using an image of 'Cinema' (collection Morohashi Museum of Modern Art) to announce that the brilliant new film The Kitchen for which Nathan won the British Independent Film Award for the production design is now on Netflix. Watched it last night and it is so visually exciting
