Our Phil Cox & Peter J Watson, University of Leeds, show that grey squirrel #skulls perform better during #feeding than the red, suggesting a potential selective advantage for accessing and processing hard #food (e.g. nuts). Our Mehran Moazen is co-editor of the Dec 2024 issue of the Journal of #Anatomy, dedicated to various aspects of #craniosynostosis (kray-nee-o-sin-os-TOE-sis), where babies have a misshapen head, because fibrous skullbone joints prematurely closed. Marius Didziokas @UCL UCLcdb
