I lost 6 pounds in the past two weeks, stress levels and nutrition unchanged, and during a week off from BJJ after a minor tweak. The only explanation seems to be a reduction in stress hormones, from taking an adaptogen blend twice daily.

Had a private with my BJJ coach today. I had specific questions about doing X when my partner does Y, and to keep practicing the high percentage moves? Kinda, he said. Rather than collecting him A/you Bs, think of advancing to a position of greater advantage. Mind blown 🧵

Private lessons/coaching ain’t cheap. But if you’ve been around, you know. It’s way cheaper than wandering in the wilderness, especially if wandering means collecting injuries. 1 bad injury = 6-12 months offline. My remaining time is too valuable to waste.

To keep your brain sharp, assist others, prevent premature death, avoid dependence, chase your grandkids, build with your hands, and defend against attack, you need to move and exercise. To live long enough to do that, you need to eat right. Simple.
