Dr John Read Mad In The UK Mad In America Dr Joanna Moncrieff The drugs, labels & repeated left me separated from my family, out of jobs I loved, deemed needing supported living & many times nearly dead. The hopelessness & despair from untreated traumas & labels that reinforced my worthlessness & shame

What a sad response. Of course supporting people experiencing the emotional pain and confusion you stigmatise as ‘severe mental illness’ is difficult. I have done it for years, and rarely found your labels and drugs helpful. Mad In The UK Mad In America Dr Joanna Moncrieff Lisa Morrison

Once your distress has been medicalised, medicated & depoliticised, the government will now prescribe its final remedy: cutting your financial support so that you're now forced to return to the precarious, low paid & demoralising work that made you miserable in the first place.

Medically assisted dying for autism and ADHD. Is this what you want to see happening? This is part of the danger of talking about neurological differences or mental health struggles as mental illness.
