Another star in the night sky being reported as a drone in Copenhagen, Denmark. Police & military are incompetent when they ask the public to report lights in the night sky, it delays getting to facts for drone investigations as resources are directed towards false positives.

Truly shoddy reporting from B.T. fanning the Danish drone flap. Two minutes of checking a flight tracker would have shown that both of these were SAS - Scandinavian Airlines flights: SK2988 and SK1878 respectively. bt.dk/samfund/lokal-…

It would be good to have another source for this, but it's being reported by Pravda that Danish police want the public to stop swamping them with drone reports as the public are reporting every light in the sky (well there's a surprise). 😆 denmark.news-pravda.com/en/denmark/202…

A reminder to people who say that Danish officials cannot possibly have mistaken planes for drones. The US Air Force released six videos of what military personnel thought were drones. The videos had metadata with exact date, time, and location. THEY WERE ALL PLANES.

Further down I don't want to float and say we told you so. I am amazed commercial drone operators earning money in 2025 don't get more angry about all the BS claims. They are going to shut down legal operations with red tape.

Karsten Marrup, a major in the Danish military, says that "there is a risk that these were not drones at all." dr.dk/nyheder/senest…

It's nice to see some journos have spotted the efforts by Wiebe de Jager & have corrected the misleading narrative by the police that a drone closed Polderbaan Airport when more pilots reported a balloon. Here Algemeen Dagblad have set the record straight: ad.nl/binnenland/dro…

A look at how some planes in Denmark were misidentified as "drones". ThomasH breaks down what happened, how the planes were quickly identified, and how the videos were recreated using public tools that anyone can use. youtube.com/watch?v=U4qo97…

We've yet to see any unambiguous evidence of unusual drone incursions at Danish airports. But LOTS of unambiguous misidentifications: planes, stars, and now a balloon. Drones are a real problem, but what's actually going on here seems more like a flap.

If they didn’t have drone radar before, then how did they know the lights in the sky were drones? This is serious stuff. Misunderstandings can lead to war. If they have actual evidence of drones, then show it.
