Some aspects of sarcoidosis that many pathologists are not aware of. Presented by me at USCAP24. 1- Necrosis of variable extent has been reported in as many as 39% of cases. Foci of necrosis are usually small but may be large in some cases. 2- Granulomatous vasculitis is reported

Hi all - so great to see all of your posts! We considered ALL of the differentials you mentioned. Submitted IHC included most suggested markers - only strong positive was keratin. So .. I withheld an area that provided a clue.. here it is now 🫧 =😉

Although not typically associated with a “round cell sarcoma” differential, solitary fibrous tumor can sometimes mimic small round cell type sarcomas such as Ewing sarcoma. #BSTPath, #UmichPath, #BSTpathGoBlue

🌍 Excited to see the launch of the USCAP University Partnership Program by USCAP Foundation — a global partnership program supporting visiting pathologists from under-resourced countries for a 4-week observership in North America after the Annual Meeting. Great opportunity

What's in the Valve? ❤ 1/3. Heart valves are one of the least studied areas in pathology but understanding the composition of their structural elements have important implications in understanding normal valve function and its difference in pathological states.
