Finally got round to reading @StuHennigan's review of 'Culture is Bad for You' in Poetry Birmingham Literary Journal. Brilliant, blistering piece that captures how the 'creative industries' have been hollowed out not only as institutions but as states of mind. Well worth a read! poetrybirmingham.com/current-issue

Amazing to see the Being Human Festival programme go live for another year yesterday. Ten years(!) of celebrating the humanities and their vital connections to everyday life. I remember working on the 2014 festival in what feels life a different world... beinghumanfestival.org/festival-events

Such a fantastic evening yesterday at our Landmarks Late with the Horniman Museum, as part of @BeiHumanFest. Bringing Goldsmiths, University of London arts and humanities creativity, criticality and JOY to a dark political week. An amazing performance from IRIE! dance theatre capped off the proceedings:

Civic participation goes hand in hand with civic frustration. I’ve been reporting a persistent issue with fly tipping near me to councillor Cllr Martin Abrams 🕊️🍉 and others for months. Literally nothing has been done on this fixable issue… Any wonder people are getting frustrated?
