This #BlackHistoryMonth, let's celebrate the heroes of the past who have helped bring our country this far—and commit to building a more just future. Right here in City of Pasadena, there's a great lineup of ways to get involved this month.

Paul Farmer was more than a doctor. He was a visionary. He is a hero. His loss is great—for those who knew him and those who didn't—but I know his legacy is still being written, as generations of doctors follow in his footsteps saving lives around the world.
