Today has been a good day 😊 It started with work for the Preventative Mental Health (PMH) Consultancy I recently founded. Today, I spent a lovely afternoon with over 60 CT2 Psychiatry Resident Doctors from across Northwest England, including Manchester, Cheshire, Mersey, Lancashire and South Cumbria! They engaged with the session and were a pleasure to teach. RCPsych North West Royal College of Psychiatrists

Medipath International kicked off #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek with a session on Preventative Mental Health & Wellbeing. It was a great opportunity to present, & discuss with the Med students & Interns (=FY Drs). Well done to the team at Medipath Bulgaria for organising this!

I ended Mental Health Awareness week on a high note! I spent Saturday morning with the Nigerian community, this time with Medical Assoc of Nigerians Across Great Britain East of England! I spoke on ‘Mental wellbeing: Coping Strategies for Nigerians living in the UK’. Thanks to Oluwamayowa Omoniyi for the invite!

On 3rd May 2025 I was in Leeds for the Medical Assoc of Nigerians Across Great Britain Spring conference + Charity Ball. Just realised I had not shared about it here. I spoke on Mental wellbeing! I was honoured to be invited to run a workshop, in collaboration with Dr Oge Ilozue of the MANSAG Welfare committee.

Last wk, I presented at the MRCPsych Course Organisers' Annual Meeting (hosted by the Royal College of Psychiatrists), to over 40 Consultant Leads of Psychiatry Training courses, from across the 4 UK nations. I shared our NW experience with #PublicMentalHealth & the curriculum!

Mentorship is an indispensable tool for achieving success. I have unlocked so many levels in life by having mentors. If you haven't got mentors, start looking. The best place to start is where you are. Find people who care enough about you to guide you

Always a pleasure to contribute to the Royal College of Psychiatrists Public Mental Health Course! We again had a lovely, diverse group of participants from within and beyond the UK, and at various levels of their careers. I can't wait to see what they get up to as they move on from this course.
