This weekend Dr K Sextet perform David Lancaster’s piece ‘Strike’. It takes its title from the film by Sergei Eisenstein (Stachka), made in 1925 and depicts a strike by the workers of a factory in pre-revolutionary Russia. The music mirrors the style of film ‘montage’ editing.
