Couldn’t agree more, and so proud that CCA is out in front of this (disclosure: I’m on CCAs Med Sci Advisory Board). In fact, the study proves colonoscopies are extremely effective, but that adherence was low. That’s the part we need to work on.#leadfrombehind

Haha! Precisely. Honestly I’m surprised that an intervention comprised of mailing letters made the NEJM in the first place.

What’s not to like? Oncology updates on the beach, with an agenda that is “stacked” with great speakers & topics. Networking reception afterwards. Oh yeah, and it’s free for attendees. If you’re in Oncologist or fellow in Southern California, make sure to attend this event.

At UC Irvine’s Hem/Onc fellowship program, the future is female! This week we welcomed the class of 2026 to our program who (after 1-week orientation) are ready to hit the ground running. Pic taken outside the Anatomy Lab where we completed our bone marrow bx simulation course.

An important PSA last night on CBS/LA KCAL news for men’s health month: colorectal cancer is now the leading cancer cause of death among men under age 50. And yet, the vast majority of cases can be prevented or detected early through screening. Screening for most begins at age 45
