Resident doctors. Do not allow the rhetoric from politicians or pundits to guilt or gaslight you. You did not fight your way into and through medical school to be paid a penny less than you're worth at the end of it. Many senior doctors are behind you. We will cover.

Doctors and nurses shouldn’t have to subsidise your healthcare with our pay. The RCN The amazing teachers shouldn’t have to subsidise my kids education with their pay. National Education Union Firefighters working with reduced crews shouldn’t have to subsidise our safety with their safety,

The wasted cost of track and trace would have paid for full pay restoration for doctors for the next 37 years.

It costs £180K-220K to train a resident doctor. And now over half of them don't have postgraduate training posts. Where do they go? Australia and New Zealand. Well done Britain. You are paying to train doctors to work literally anywhere but the NHS. bmj.com/content/390/bm…

It’s #ALevelResultsDay. Some students celebrating today will one day be NHS doctors. What they don’t know yet is that they’ll start work on £18.62/hr, already over £100,000 in student debt. They’ll be sent around the country every few months, away from family and friends.

The ones saying “Fine, go to Australia, we don’t need you” will be complaining the loudest when the wait for a routine GP appointment is 3 months.

I feel sad for all the clever a-level students getting excellent grades. Only to go on and study Medicine. Don’t do it. It’s a trap. This country doesn’t value clever people. The NHS will grind you down, and then in the end pay you less than your assistants.

Went to a gym class, chatted to some people my age, similar interests. Thought I might make new friends. Then came: “So, what do you do?” Me: “I’m a GP.” Them: "Oh". Awkward silence. Tumbleweed. Suddenly everyone has to go. How has this happened?

What was the point of commissioning the Leng Review if the findings are just ignored by everyone and absolutely f all changes?

Not sure which doctor or nurse needs to hear this...but stop wondering if you’re good enough. You are. Way more than this country’s broken health system deserves. They should be bloody grateful you even turned up.

I cannot understate how disgraceful this is.
