The Milky Way (well, the very small part that we can see from Earth) early this morning (Wednesday, July 30). A beautiful time spent in a remote Texas setting. Alone but not really as I kept this verse in mind: “The heavens declare the glory of God,” (Psalm 19:1).

From Midlothian, we could see the rain (and lightning), but it stayed way east of us last night (Aug 1).

The prediction was that two meteor showers would peak on July 29, 30 and produce up to 100 meteors per hour. So, I went to a dark sky environment in Texas, and ... I saw seven meteors and photographed one (hint: upper left). I would do it again. A heavenly experience. Great
