Lynn et al. (Cereb Cortex, 2021) Children's Math skills (8-10yo) were predicted from functional connectivity during symbolic math task and resting fMRI, but not that from the non-symbolic task. Predictive connections were distinct across tasks. academic.oup.com/cercor/advance…

We uploaded a new preprint!! We constructed voxel-wise encoding models of math problem solving. These models predicted brain activity in a format-invariant manner (symbolic and natural language). Brain representations of math problems were similar across the different formats.
