I was nervous posting my graphic showing 2.01°C because breaking 2°C is a huge event and I didn't want to get it wrong. Then Leon Simons (looking up) posted the one below from Nov. 17 showing 2.06°C, and it relieved 100% of the stress. Different data sets, same result. 2°C breached.

#NewPaperAlert! Stoked to share our pub on the migration phenology of songbirds tracked with the #MotusWTS network as they travel through North America in spring, now published in Journal of Animal Ecology! besjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11… 🧵

Breaking news! The planet once again touched the 2.0°C barrier for a single day yesterday. On tenterhooks awaiting the definitive graphic from Copernicus ECMWF

New paper out today! Male pathology can drive transmission without sex-based differences in behavior. Congrats Erin Sauer 🐸 ! Journal of Animal Ecology UArkansas Research besjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/13…

First theoretical dissection of scale-dependent biodiversity change to its 3 parts + a big empirical example. Francois, thanks for all the patience, endless discussions, and hard work, I've learned a lot. Congrats for your 2nd PhD chapter published! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/ec…

Are all birds shrinking with #climatechange? In the mountains of Tanzania we (Morgan Tingley *find me on BlueSky* + Bill Newmark) find that birds are actually increasing in body size over almost four decades!
