Fantastic to see our The University of Manchester paper on background Ca2+ influx in cardiac myocytes published in the Journal of Physiology. The size of this influx determines proarrhythmic Ca2+ waves, is increased in heart failure, and is carried via TRPC6 channels Thanks British Heart Foundation for funding

Your departure improves politics more than anything else in your career has or ever could.

This morning on @bbcr4today the Health Secretary Steve Barclay said Consultants get a "tax-free pension of £73,000 a year" when they retire. This is categorically not true, and we expect him to issue an urgent correction. Here's why 🧵 (1/5)
