Not to mention the thousands of devastated girls and volunteers in British Girlguiding Overseas that can’t have fun with their guiding units any more.

Girlguiding At the bottom of the pages of the blog from the Chief Guide there is our mission statement:“Whoever they are, wherever they’re from, girls can do anything” Talk about irony! Makes my blood boil that the Board have completely gone against our mission with no rational explanation.

Such a dignified farewell. I strongly feel closing BGO is a mistake and maybe one day the trustees will see sense or listen to their membership

Amanda Barker (She/Her) The current trustees will have served their 5 years, and moved onto something new by the time we start to feel the real repercussions of closing BGO & the TACS. For most, being a trustee was just a box ticking exercise, and just another item to add to their LinkedIn profile.

Thinking of all my British Girlguiding Overseas friends especially on this World Mental Health day. It has been an incredibly tough year for us but we stuck together and have helped each other through. Thank you to all of my sisters in Guiding. 😘
