Is anyone currently doing any research on masking in autistic youth? We are working on this topic in DLD, but we are getting interest from parents or autistic children who don’t meet our inclusion criteria unfortunately!

We found that work in autism journals has rarely been preregistered (~2% of published work). We also did a quality assessment on a sample of the preregistrations and found that specificity and adherence could be improved.

Interesting to hear Lorna Hamilton talking about the double epidemic injustice done to neurodivergent children in research - it’s assumed they cannot give meaningful input because they are a) children and b) neurodivergent. Great to hear this challenged #NDinHE2

We need this pinned up around university campuses to be honest! We heard in earlier presentations from colleagues at Warwick quotes from students saying their personal tutors felt they didn’t “look dyslexic” - same experience about having staff doubt student needs #NDinHE2

I've been made a senior lecturer! (Found out in spring, but nature of academic promotions is they don't kick in until the start of the academic year!). I now have grey hair, definitely look more "senior" and should really update that pic. Looks like an entirely different human.
